Mission Statement:
The purpose of the Downey-Florence Seventh-day Adventist Church is to proclaim the gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ, in its relevancy for today, as expressed in the Bible and our prophetic movement.
Each member, as a minister exercising his spiritual gifts through the power of the Holy Spirit, will be committed to promoting services that will touch their neighbor and the people of the community at their point of need. The church will provide opportunity and training for the utilization of these gifts.
Faithfulness to this mission will result in fellowship, unity, personal
spiritual growth and numerical growth.
Special Programs:
Kidspiration: Saturday mornings the children (ages 4-12) have a very special program. All the children meet together from 9:00AM to 10:00AM, then they split up for age appropriate Bible studies. Kidspiration includes a variety of activities and learning opportunities for the children. Kidspiration programs are high engery, action-packed, faith-building learning experiences. Kidspiration - a place where kids are a treasure.
